"Very nice stay at this hotel. Clean room quite spacious with lovely and friendly staff. Very nice buffet breakfast."

"Location perfect for our group get together - 30 mins stroll into Skipton. Breakfast good however staff need more training in replenishment of items Dinner OK - very expensive for what it was as were drinks. Service not great as order taken incorrectly meaning one of our group got his meal later than the rest - they didn't charge him for it. Reception staff very good & helpful"

The one downside for me was that even though we had a late check out at 12, my husband had gone on to work and at 10:30am my door was opened by a man who announced he was there to do housekeeping. "I don’t usually post negative comments but feel on this occasion it’s require based on the room rate. Our room including bathroom was slightly tired and is in need of a refreshment and lacked your normal toiletries for this level of hotel. The mini fridge compressors was very loud and as such led to both nights of poor sleep, not ideal when you book a weekend away to recover. However, the main building was very beautiful and had a nice lounge to relax in the evening."

"An enjoyable one night stay at a hotel where the positive features far outweigh any minor niggles. Attentive and pleasant staff, excellent food, well presented and served in a timely manner. Rooms just bordering on the need for some love and attention, although White Stuff toiletries do a good job in diverting attention from the nasty stain on one of the seats. Decent enough spa facilities, although it would be helpful if the price to swim were included in the booking price."
