Nothing was too much trouble, and responses from staff were always genuinely friendly in a manner better than I have seen in years. The rooms weren't perfect (in terms of renovation specifically) but everything is still very well presented.

I won’t stay anywhere else but here!!

Absolutely amazing venue. I have stayed here a few times and the staff are genuinely the hospital hosts I have ever come across, nothing is too much trouble. I was tired on arrival from travelling hours and still had work to do, and they kindly carried all of my luggage to my room allowed me to have dinner in my room at no extra cost - which was delicious!!

A very pleasant and easy stay. Room was very clean, nice powerful shower. Warm welcome from Julie despite arriving for late checkin. Charming bar with original period features and low ceilings. Was even offered some cake. Richard front of house in the morning and a fantastic breakfast.

Price of a luxury hotel, service of an average one

Completely over priced, minuscule room for £110. Staff not specially friendly and did not have restaurant open at night. Breakfast was cheat with aggressive music.

Only there for 1 night staff so friendly the hotel is beautifully decorated with so many litte personal touches. The restaurant was delightful and the food was amazing would highly recommend staying and eating here.

Lovely quiet family owned hotel in Sussex. We enjoyed drinks by the firs in room with flagstone floors. The hotel is 16th century and beautifully restored by the owners who are v hands on, providing a personal service. Our room (17) was the 4 poster bridal suite. We were lucky to get an upgrade. Massive and v comfortable bed. Accessible shower, wardrobe and dressing space. We really enjoyed dining here. Food was exceptional i- try the skate if available. Highly recommend Random Hall

Great spot with wonderful food.

Full of character, friendly staff, comfortable well-equipped room, excellent evening meal & breakfast at a very reasonable price. Comfortable bar area with open fire. If I had one criticism it would be a lack of a hand-pulled real ale!
