Room was clean and recently painted with new floors, the bathroom was clean but the vent did noy work so when you shower it was filled with mist. The shower tub had some rust stains . The bed was comfortable but the bedsheets had stains. Breakfast needs yo ne improved as its very limited with the options they give.

I stayed at Melrose for my daughter's birthday. Service was great, great location for us. Building and rooms were clean and updated. Only down side was the breakfast wasn't much options and the wifi never worked for me. But it was over all pretty good

I rate the hotel an overall two because the rooms could’ve been cleaner and we had roaches in our room in the bathroom. The beds were super hard and uncomfortable. The Wi-Fi was trash. It did not work half of the time you couldn’t watch movies without the TV lagging breakfast was a joke. The only reason they are rated or two is because staff was OK friendly and nice that’s all other than that for it to be remodel. It was not a good job.

Was to have Full Kitchen, had NO cookware, 4 plates, one small bowl, 3 coffee mugs (all of the aforementioned were dirty), 5 forks, 2 knives, 2 tablespoons, one (dull) sharp knife and 3 black cooking utensils. Then the day after I arrived 3 different sized frying pans appeared in one of the lower cabinets, they hadn’t been there the day before. The smallest of the three had grease in it. There was no dish soap, no dish towels. Soap is provided in the bathroom, this is to be a full kitchen and nothing is provided. I had the ask for a do not disturb tag for my door as there wasn’t one in my room, especially after having the frying pans appear. I asked housekeeping for clean towels and she told me she would give me exactly what I gave her. I gave her 3 bath towels, one bath mat, 4 wash cloths and 3 hand towels, she gave me 3 bath towels, 2 hand towels and one wash cloth. I asked housekeeper what to do with the trash, her response “I don’t know”. The amount of roaches I killed between the kitchen and bathroom was ridiculous. I booked this Airbnb/long term hotel stay with full kitchen as a home away from home investment but instead ended up spending more than I expected. I couldn’t get my money back, had no where else to go. What exactly did I get for my money? Nothing more than a hotel room. I don’t feel I should be paying any more than that, if that. I will be discussing this with Best Western. I am very disappointed with my stay.

Clean room. Excellent amenities. My wife really appreciated the remodel and especially the laminate floor in lieu of typical carpets. There was big screen smart TV but the streaming capability was disabled and we could not access Netflix or Youtube. Only way maybe using BYO Roku stick or Chrome cast stick via one of 4 HDMI ports. However, room wifi was less than 5 mbps, inadequate for streaming movies or other content. We were disappointed not able to the big screen for streaming. The TV did offer regular cable channels via dish network i believe. Good breakfast with simple omelet made to order and Texas shaped waffle maker available! Coffee should be stronger for me but maybe good for others. Taste is subjective. Nick was super friendly and gave us a great customer service when the wall HVAC was not blowing hot air the first night. Apparently, just needed to reset but unplugging and replugging the power cable. Thanks Nick! Although excellent parking availability but the indoor pool was not heated even though the outside displayed heated pool as noted by my wife. Overal good stay!

Although the room was clean and the staff was very nice, the blankets and towels looked dated. The room reminded me of an old motel, and there was an old, musty odor. The shower curtain also needed to be updated. Overall, it didn’t feel worth the price

The room was clean but worn. One of the drawers was awkwardly hanging off the TV console and didn't sit inside its hole. There were chunks of the bathroom counter missing from where they had replaced a 2-handle faucet with a 1-handle faucet. The beds felt like trampolines. Like, literally, I sat down on the bed and bounced. They were not comfortable either and had only thin sheet-like blankets, no comforters. Perhaps because it is Texas, they don't consider chilly evenings, not sure, but it would've been nice to have a little thicker blanket. The hotel is near the NASA space center, so that is a perk if you are headed there, but otherwise the hotel sits on a very busy and noisy strip (NASA Parkway), and you can hear it pretty much all night long. It is not walkable to the beach, unless you count the port where the boats are docked a beach; otherwise, it is not what we thought of as a beach. The receptionist stopped us and asked us to check in after we had already checked in, which normally wouldn't bother me, except there weren't that many guests at the hotel- we saw one other family there the whole time during a 2-night stay, and I'm pretty sure he was the same guy we passed by on our way out of the hotel to the conference we were attending.

The staff was very nice. the hotel was clean. just a few things in disrepair.... as the door in our bathroom desperately needed to be replaced( the bottom was coming apart ) Pool was very clean

The towels are so small, thin, and rough. The room was fine but the Netflix and YouTube buttons on the remote didn’t work so only basic cable was available.

Excellent staff service, newly renovated, hot breakfast. Coffee was not good too weak. They need to replace their bath towels very thin. Great price. Would stay their again!

Nice and quiet place& good location

The location is near to many attractions, Kemah and NASA, and driving to Galveston where I worked for some research projects is not far。 Nick was quite helpful, and the lady always provided nice breakfast (you could request how you like your eggs cooked)。 I stayed for over a week and needed to write paper, so I did need a quiet place, Melrose was perfect for me.
