"It is a very beautiful property with amazing views! The staff was very friendly. They were constantly cleaning. The food was great and reasonably priced. (We have had a hard time with finding good food for a good price in the previous places we stayed. The beach was incredible! It is a a tough drive on gravel would recommend a 4 wheel drive with good tires. We had a small car and had to go very slow. There is three creeks that need to be crossed we were okay because it is the dry hot season."

"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

The location was great. Several choices of restaurants nearby and close to beaches. Having stayed at many places in Costa Rica I would highly recommend Hotel Amira as a great place to stay."

"Upon arrival, the front desk was disorganized and not customer service oriented. We were simply asked for a $200 security deposit with no explanation of hotel amenities—no Wi-Fi details, brochure, or map. Be advised there are two different locations, Residencias and Beachfront. We had a two bedroom unit with kitchenette in the Residencias. "Had a booking confirmation but were told after 5h drive they didn’t have a room and it was ‘resolved’ with Expedia. Expedia ended up compensating but seemed to have been a maintenance issue on Belvedere’s side and bad communication. I highly recommend the hideaway hotel who ‘rescued’ us."
