"As usual with these suite hotels, the rooms are large, good enough, comfy beds. Location is good, a stones throw from the Eaton Centre I didn’t like the fact that for a 4 night stay, my room was made up once, supposedly I should have been told that, but wasn’t, and in any case it’s too late at check-in, make it obvious on the website. Also, don’t pre-book breakfast, it’s pretty average. One block away is Sunset Grill, which is awesome"

"Two of three elevators were broken. Had to use the service elevators. Spent an enormous amount of time waiting for elevators. Check-in line was HUGE with very few staff available at the counter. Hot tub was drained and not available last two days of my stay. Room was typical of a three star hotel, not a 4 star. My bathroom was old and run down. My room rate was just over two hundred dollars for the first two nights and then over four hundred on the last night! Booked it on Expedia based on the room rate and my fault, didn't notice the bump on the last day until I was checking in. Won't stay here again."

"Great stay in the heart of Toronto. Travel around town is mostly by foot and evenings felt safe. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable."

"This was our third time staying at the Royal York we love it. Staff super helpful. It was our 44th wedding anniversary and the lovely lady on reception upgraded our room. Facilities were fantastic, enjoyed a couple of saunas. The ambiance of the hotel is just wonderful. Highly recommend"
