"Very comfortable stay. The room and bed were excellent. It is an ideal place for an overnight or business trip. There is no restaurant in the hotel but the bar is ok. There are local restaurants and pub close by. A decent buffet breakfast is supplied. "

"Walking in, the room smelt of cigarettes and damp. It was shocking. The mattress was appalling as well - it might as well have not be there. Would have been more comfortable sleeping on the slats. In the middle of the night, the fire alarm went off in the whole hotel - with no staff manning the place, I’d be surprised if the owner even knows this happened. It was simply silenced by a fellow guest, which meant it went off again later in the evening. I also failed to see any fire safety signs around the hotel, no muster point or anything? We were just left guessing. What if there was an actual fire? The walls must be made of paper mache, as you can hear everything everyone is saying - might as well join in the conversation. There is a good 4cm gap in the bottom of the door too - so anyone walking down the hallway can be heard. Might be better too to have a closing time for the kitchens - people are trying to sleep and others are marauding up the corridor as if they’re doing a marching drill in the army! Would not recommend and will not be staying again!"
