Great little place to stay for a weekend in Norfolk. Comfortable room, great selection of beers and food in the pub. Breakfast was excellent too. Plenty of coastal paths nearby if you enjoy walking too.
Hotel and room very clean. Not many other places around so ate in the restaurant and we were not disappointed. Good portions and reasonably priced. Staff very friendly. One to visit in the future.
We stayed for two nights at The Lifeboat and it was a very nice place to stay. The evening meal choices were very good as were the breakfasts and the food we ate was lovely. The room was spacious and we had a great view. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A great venue to visit many places from. So pleased we stayed there!
From the moment we arrived we had a friendly welcome. The rooms were well equipped and dog friendly. A hearty breakfast was awaiting every morning. Would definately book again

Good base for a couple of nights.
Firstly the lady who checked us in and gave us information about the pub was extremely welcoming and accommodating. We managed to get into our room slightly ahead of the 3pm check in which was great as we could unpack and settle before heading off for a wander.
We booked a standard double. The positive was it had a king size bed, however the rest of the room was lets say 'bijou'. We were unable to fully open the wardrobe door and had to shimmy round the end of the bed making sure we didn't do ourselves an injury on the TV!!
Evening food was OK, nice enough but nothing to write home about. We reserved a table in the bar area as restaurant was fully booked, however we didn't end up getting the actual reserved table...oh well at least we got a table on a very busy bank hol weekend!!
Breakfast was lovely, my husband thoroughly enjoyed his Lifeboat breakfast and my scrambled eggs and smoked salmon were extremely tasty.
Not sure I would stay in a 'standard double' again, I would probably pay a bit extra and have the larger option.

From the check In on day one to the check out in the last day .. had a fantastic time .. friendly staff from the breakfast staff the the bar staff at night .. the hotel and bar and restaurant was perfectly clean .. the room was clean and tidy .. the breakfast every morning was amazing.. loved the breakfast every morning.. best breakfast I've had in a long time ..had an amazing stay .. I would recommend to anyone
Lovely property with very nice and helpful staff. Food and drink was excellent. Just unfortunate that the room was so hot. It was a warm day but considering it was April and a 20-22C day I was shocked how uncomfortable the room felt. Portable AC is provided but not overly effective.
The staff was super friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was excellent and the pub pretty good as well. Location was perfect. Really charming place!
The bedroom was on the small side and the bathroom very tiny with no shelves to put any of the essentials. Fine for a couple of nights for 2 people but probably not longer.

Disliked: Cleanliness
We have stayed pre ion s couple of occasions and the room , cleanliness and overall experience has been far better , on this occasion we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the room , the obvious first thing we noticed was a lingering dog smell , as I know the rooms are dog friendly , this could be easily rectified by pet friendly plug in air fresheners ? And a feeler clean in between guests … the room just felt not clean , not aired , no windows open and we stayed in August when the weather was warm, clearly visible cob webs on the light fittings and in all corners of the ceiling , room definitely looking tired , we stayed in the Appleyard room , we also had breakfast but again we felt the area we were seated in was not very clean ( in the extension area off the main dining room ) floor was dirty and clearly hadn’t been swept from the previous nights meal seatings , crumbs and debris on the floor also on some dining chairs and it just looks very tired also , curtains look dirty and not attached properly , wooden areas scuffed and could do with re painting , just things we noticed whilst waiting for breakfast , we had previously had breakfast on another stay and we really enjoyed it , breakfast was tasty and nice produce used although we didn’t get offered toast on this stay , all in all we felt some areas let it down and need improvement, for that reason we wouldn’t stay here again .we did mention our feedback whilst checking out and it was wrote down on a notepad .
Fabulous location. Really friendly and helpful staff, breakfast excellent. Standard room was very small but adequate for a short stay but having said that the large bathroom made up for it
