"Reasons for only one star (but some. Hope at he end):
- dirty linens, no top sheet on 3 of 3 rooms and one of our three rooms had no blankets, despite cold weather
- No hot water during the complete stay
- filthy stairs and common rooms in one building. This was under refurbishment, but nobody cared about the guests
- breakfast was not edible for Norwegians
- staff saying problems would be fixed quickly, but nothing happened, again and again
- obvious fake reviews on the site. Disgusting!

"The staff at Ajira are the perfect balance of efficient, kind and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, clean and functional with an adequate size minibar, t/coffee making facilities and tv. The beds and seating are comfortable. The view was outstanding. "
"I’ve rarely written a bad review because I believe most things don’t make that much impact on me. This hotel is different. Building noise, not great food, almost unusable wifi, old tired rooms, dirty in room fridge, air con that’s old and noisy and sounds like it’s about to break. The construction noise can’t be helped but I’d avoid this hotel for the next 6-8 months because the drilling and sawing went on and on and on until 8pm. It was dreadful. Staff were generally helpful and nice but I’d say I was disappointed by the room and it was just very tired and rundown."
"Beautiful beach access in the back of resort. Friendly helpful staff. Dinner buffet was good. They packed breakfast for us on the go when we missed breakfast.
Rooms were clean and up to date. "
"Asked for an iron, they said they will send it to the room 3 days in a row. They never did. At Nigma restaurant a rude adult staff who talk about politics and my country. Learn them to be silent! The pushy sellers (juice and beauty clinic) aroumd the pool all the time! The very poor quality juices which wasn't other than sugar and colour. The "american coffee" was a disaster served in plastic cups. Cadeau to cleaning and laundry staff and Abdola at Snackbar and the woman who made bread and of course Animation staff. "
"This was my family's favourite stay. The location is fantastic and the room is modern with a great view of the marina. We stayed in the executive suite and loved it! There were 2 bathrooms, coffee, couches, 2 balconies with different views and 2 big bedrooms!
Some things to note. The bathrooms had an unpleasant smell becuase of Egypts sewer system. Seems to be an issue all over and not specfic to just this hotel. There are some things youll need to overlook regarding the aesthetic and foundation cracks here and there, but overall everything was great and id definitely return in a heartbeat. It was truly my favourite destination after travelling to Cairo, Sharm El Sheikh, Luxor. Id travel to Egypt just go come back here again. "
"An excellent choice. The dedication and friendiness of the staff are the highight of the resort, which is immaculately maintained. A peaceful retreat."
