"Loved it, felt like a real local. Washer was a plus and included detergent! Fast responses and overall a great stay :) 9.8/10 a little bit dusty specifically the top of air conditioner but hey, it’s an older place, it was expected and part of the vibe. Recommend if you want to stay in a more traditional place hence the name of the place. "

"Wonderful place to stay, we loved that the area was in a real neighborhood and not touristy. The only complaint is the main bedroom faces a an alley that has a motion activated light that shines bright on and off all night while you are trying to sleep. Dark shade would help this situation. "

"Ein typisches altes japanisches Haus mit tollem Flair. Sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, täglich frisches Wasser und Handtücher. Wir haben uns zu sechst sehr wohl gefühlt, die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter hat auch sehr gut geklappt. Die Strasse war beim ersten Mal nicht ganz einfach zu finden, auch der Taxifahrer hat sich schwer getan. Ich kann die Unterkunft für eine größere Gruppe/ Familie aber nur weiterempfehlen! "

"This was the perfect place to stay in Kyoto. There was the cutest bakery three doors down that had the best pastry and bread. Close to convenience stores and a grocery store. Close to bus stops and the castle! The location can’t be beat. The space was clean and spacious. Although I would suggest that the space is more conducive to those not worried about privacy and noise as the space is quite open. Overall I give this place a 10 out of 10! "

"I loved the unique character of this home. It was an experience on its own. Lack of communication on the passport submission as I thought I had finished it, but never got a code. It all got sorted in the end, but would have been nice to know earlier. Anyway, my kids loved the Japan experience this home offered"

"This is the second time I wrote the review for this guesthouse. My first review for Micasa was gone when I click the send button, but I want to finish writing the review to let more people know Micasa and how good this place is. The facilities are very new. "Tradition ancient Kyoto-style house in great location. Parking space right outside the house. Spacious living room and bedroom. Well equipped kitchen with tableware, cookware and seasonings. Narrow and slanting staircase to 2F so must be very careful when walking up and down."
