"We stayed here while at the State Fayre festival and will definitely stay here again if there is another festival next year. Friendly staff, lovely gardens and comfortable rooms (although air conditioning would’ve been nice during the heatwave!) Only suggestion would be: upgrade the toiletries in the rooms please. Two tiny watery bottles is not enough!"

"It was absolutely unbearable in the room as there was no aircon and we were given one fan that barely did anything. We couldn’t sleep at all due to the heat. We also had 2 rooms so my daughter’s room was even worse as that had no fan! If a hotel has no aircon, maybe state that in the advert"

"The room was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable, although the room was small, and if you ended up stuck inside, you’d quickly become claustrophobic. Likewise, the picture used to advertise the hotel is not a picture of any public or restaurant space in the hotel building, but a picture of the pub/restaurant 150 feet away. "I visited during the most recent heatwave. It was 35 degrees outside but the room was well prepared with the air conditioning on full blast which was a relief. I noticed that I didn't have any towels but this was quickly rectified and I was issued a drink voucher as compensation which was a nice touch. The room was mostly clean, the bins were emptied and the carpet looked hoovered. There was a bit of dust here (maybe due to the A/C?) and a bug or two there but nothing major."

"Plenty of parking available, the staff were friendly and helpful. The actual accommodation is very tired and dated. The sink in the bathroom was totally cracked and in my opinion could be dangerous."

"The bathroom was dirty, clearly had not been cleaned properly in some time, there was hair all over the floor, dirt build up around the shower tray and shower itself. Windows were also very dirty. The breakfast bag is not worth it as it’s not ready to go you have to wait 10mins for the hot part!"

"Having stayed on one of hottest days of year the air conditioning in bedrooms was extremely welcome and efficient. I thought uk king size beds would be standard in hotels. Not used to a double bed but it was clean and comfortable. Bathroom spotless but struggled to access the shower over bath as you had to step in onto slope at end of bath. If you have even a minor disability then try to get an accessible room.. The pool was a good size and well maintained as was gym. Good sized pool towels....
