The staff were nice, but we had terrible sleep due to issues mentioned. For that reason we can't give a positive rating to them.

Only issue was the bar closed too early in the evening.

We loved our stay here, friendly and helpful staff, great facilities (spa, pool, gym and beauty salon), beautiful surroundings. The hall is stunning, we really enjoyed dining there and the live music (piano man) was an added bonus. We will be back!

Property is okay, was expecting a patio room but had a room on the second floor. Room was clean and fridge freezer did work, once I realised that it had been unplugged by the previous person that stayed in the room. Cleaning staff were very friendly. Didn't go into Kendal itself. We went for a meal in the evening but did not explore the area.
We walked from the hotel into town which is just one straight road and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of different shops cafes and restaurants. There is definitely every shop you need. Loved it
Every place we went to we got great service especially Alpine cafe in windermere.....true gent who runs it......well worth a mention
Some interesting individual shops and some good restaurants if you look hard enough
Lovely pub - ye Olde Fleece Inn ! Lovely food and atmosphere
