"I am currently trying to dispute a bill for this hotel. I was charged a smoking fee for a room when I don't even smoke. Hotel staff assured me that the smoking sensors in the room are 100% accurate, probably based upon verbiage from a sales person. This is not factual as these sensors can confuse other fumes such as perfumes or aerosols with actual cigarette smoke or vape fumes. Technology is never 100%, and there numerous complaints from other customers who experienced the same issue that I have. The hotel referred me to corporate and corporate referred me back to the hotel. Beware that you may be looking at an additional $400 charge which is a complete scam with no proper dispute procedure. Additionally, the hotel did not notify me that a sensor was activated while on site on during the checkout process, I only received notice by way of an additional charge on my card and a bill in my email after checkout. These are predatory tactics by the company to tack on additional fees after the customer leaves the property. "
