"The heating was off in the middle of winter Neither bedside lamps worked The wardrobe was a filing cabinet There was no shower gel in the dispenser Teabags were open to the elements - should be sealed There was only 1 toilet roll. When the property is not manned there should be spares"

"Wonderful overnight stay with our springer spaniel . Lovely clean and spacious dog friendly room in the Annex with a fabulous view . Set in wonderful grounds with lovely outdoor areas and enjoyed a great circular walk down to the river. All staff were so friendly and the steak for the evening meal was cooked perfectly as was the very generous breakfast . Definitely be back"

"Quirky with some lovely staff in the evening in the restaurant. The gardens are also beautiful but small things could really enhance the hotel to get more from its potential. My stay improved after a few small disappointments. The room was warm and quiet. The meal on the second night was excellent (first night's green curry with poppadoms was less so and lacking in flavour)."

"Absolutely perfect! Stayed here with my brothers for a birthday gathering and family get together. The rooms are lovely with everything you need, staff are friendly and helpful, food (breakfasts and evening meals) plentiful and tasty. Great value!"

"Lovely hotel, we went for a family wedding. The staff were so lovely and the rooms a good size and comfortable. The breakfast was also delicious and they brought us vege sausages which were lovely."

"Breakfast was terrible. No cups,cutlery and no food left. Total rubbish.If it’s included in the cost it’s ok.Do not pay extra for it There is a Mcds and a service station attached with plenty of reasonable eateries."

"Telly didn’t work as it should - wouldn’t connect to get smart tv which should have despite staff member trying to help us. Extortionate price for wine for some reason - £8.50-£9.50 for a 125ml glass!! Location was perfect and room size good and gorgeous stone window frames"
