Good central location. Room was nice. Soundproofing is really bad so not much sleep if you are a light sleeper. Be aware. We were charged 10 r a day for room to be cleaned. Nobody did this. We left a day early and asked for a refund for cleaning, but were refused. It’s not much money, but the principal

The facilities were like hotel's but you get a property as cosy as home. The homestay is at walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The owner also communicate well prior and during our stay that everything became easier once we arrived there.

Check in team was very friendly with clear instruction. Location is walking distance to many eateries in Ipoh old town. Place is well maintain. Swimming pool is a little small.

It was bigger then expected. I was impressive by their service. Host show us what facility they had. Guided us where are the good food and shopping areas at the surroundings. All question was been answer promptly before and during our stay.

A Very Happy Stay

Being a home Stay accommodation whereby checking procedure has few differences as compared to regular hotel procedure, the instructions provided via WhatsApp a day before check-in was very clear and useful. Details such as how to access the private and very secure car park was easy to follow. As instructed, I contacted the staff team through WhatsApp 15 mins before arrival and was promptly met by a staff member who guided us to their reception area for a smooth check-in. The 2 room plus a living room area was spacious and well laid out. The large size beds were comfortable with very clean sheets. The mountain view from the 8th level room was charming and going to eateries location is just a comfortable walk away. I wish to thank the very helpful and polite staff at reception including the other general staff for the lovely stay. I will return to OCTOGAN on future trips to Ipoh. Once again Thank You.

Good location

It's location is very good as it is within walking distance to famous eating places. The unit was clean and comfortable. However there was only one mirror and it was in the bathroom. It costs very little to put one in the room and there is no lack of empty wall space. The door was quite thin, so outside sounds were very audible. Same with the windows as we could hear traffic and loud music from the street below. ( We were on the 15th floor.) Another point to note is that there is an additional charge to pay upon check in, which is the cleaning charge, the amount of which depends on the number of people per unit. For the two of us it was rm30 for two nights. However our rooms were not cleaned during our stay.
