Biggest issue was not having a restaurant/ buffet area. This was non existent in the hotel for breakfast hidden by the photographs that were shown on the Expedia website. The room shown on the website is actually the hotel lobby and is not suited to serve a full meal.
Staff at the hotel advised that the restaurant was going to take a few more months to build. I have noticed that this was mentioned on another review earlier in the year as well. Breakfast is the same everyday and consists of a boiled egg,foodstuffs taken out of jars such as olives (not fresh) and tomatoes. BEWARE you will be eating in your bedroom as this is where breakfast is served. Hot water is not available at breakfast, will be passed bottled water to boil yourself in the rooms kettle! Catering server does not speak English and could not understand hot tea with milk.
In regards to the room, cups and glasses are not refreshed/ cleaned daily as there were tea stains that were not being washed out.
Please be advised that the bathroom sink had a notice on the wall saying no drinking water. Toilet advised on not flushing toilet paper.
Also no English channel other than Al Jazeera was working on the TV that was provided in the room. This was not fixed during our stay.
As we went during November ( winter months) blankets had to be asked for rather than supplied. Not enough toilet paper and soap supplied.
Only positive was the location. This was our 4th visit to Istanbul.
