"The public rooms were in good condition but rather dated, reflecting the hotel's ostentatious history. The corridors and fire doors to the rooms were in poor condition, some damaged paint, wallpaper and carpet. The room was small and dated but clean with plenty of storage. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast offered a great choice. Whilst it is becoming increasingly common, as a hotel guest, I don't like paying extra to park my car."

"The room was spotless, Lisa was welcoming and helpful.
Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and milk in the fridge were provided.
The full english breakfast was perfect too."

"The breakfast cooked to order and perfection summed up the whole dining experience of staying at this beautiful hotel. Carly, the assistant manager with her friendly and professional manner personified everything else
The only downside is our room (102) had a noisy neighbour who left their TV on all night "
