"The food at Il Forno was excellent! Everyone was friendly and lovely, but they seemed understaffed. The pool area is nice, but the pool is small. Room was cleaned extraordinarily well every day and we were impressed with how quiet the rooms are.
The beach area has chairs and umbrellas, but there are two large construction projects going on in the adjoining area, so it’s not as pleasant as it could be if that wasn’t going on. The beach was clean, but it wasn’t as beautiful as the beaches closer...

"The property was under renovation so the spa wasn’t available and there was construction ongoing. The staff at the front desk, restaurant and pool/beach were friendly and helpful. Hemingway restaurant is a great spot for all meals. The bikes were a bit disappointing; older and not in great shape but we took them to town as they were rideable. Overall we had a great time."

"Great stay at the Retreat. It embraces the name! The concierge was very friendly and gave us excellent recommendations for water excursions and local restaurants. Our room was very spacious and everything in it felt brand new. I especially liked that the bathroom has separate wet and dry areas, and the memory foam mattress was very comfortable.
