"Definitely above average experience. From the 24 hour gate keeper to check in and a literal team of concierges providing local info & brochures to the breathtaking grounds, we 100% enjoyed our time here! Plus, the focal point of the property is the original brick mansion dating back to 1735 which is left open daily for self guided tours is very special. As far as the unit itself, it was great having an actual condo/apartment with spacious rooms, a full kitchen, televisions in every room, a great balcony with spacious views beautiful trees, grounds, birds, and squirrels complete with a nice table and chairs - perfect for morning coffee or a full meal; and even an electric fireplace. We would not hesitate to stay here again! One note regarding the washer and dryer - it is small, so don't plan on doing the same quantity of laundry in one load that you probably normally do. Finally, the kitchen is well equipt with basics for cooking & simple baking; plus toaster, coffee maker, and full size fridge, oven, & dishwasher. However be advised that no cooking basics such as oil, salt and pepper were provided, which is fine; but just be aware you need to bring your own in case you do want to actually cook. We loved our time here. Thank you for providing an exceptional value for the money spent!"

"The bed was crawling with bed bugs, and we saw cockroaches in the kitchen. We had to leave the hotel in the middle of the night, and spent the entire next day doing damage control making sure no bugs came home with us. I would never come back here again or recommend to anyone! The amount of bugs seen make it clear it is a serious issue at this property, and not a one off. Stay away!!!"

"It seems the property went through some renovation recently and it was left in really good shape. We got a two bedroom suite which was exactly what we were hoping for. The location is great, really close to downtown. I would most certainly recommend people to stay at this place."

"I cannot say any negative about my stay- it was a quick one night stay - this is the 4th time we have stayed here since October of last year. It is conveniently located in the middle of the 2 places we needed to go- Gloucester Point and New Port News. When you walk in the first thing you notice is how clean it is- and then how nice the staff is. Will be staying here again in April! "
