"We would definitely stay at the Loopy Shrew again. Great value for money. Our room and bathroom were very clean, quiet and comfortable. We heard nothing from the pub below. The location is great, with very short walks to beautiful areas of town. There was a lovely array of breakfast choices included for free with the room charge; we had vegetarian eggs Benedict, coffee/tea & juice. "Comfortable room at very reasonable price including full breakfast, which was excellent. Convenient for city centre, cathedral and cricket (my reason for trip). I travelled by train so can't comment on parking. It's an old inn so rooms are not super-modern but have character. It was very warm until I had had the windows open overnight. A fan was provided but I was glad I missed the predicted heatwave a few days later. With windows open there was a degree of street noise, e.g. bin lorries early...
