"Nice and clean "

"The front desk did an excellent job under the circumstances. There was a huge concert at the Shoe that night. We arrived at 3:30 and the check in line was wrapped out the door. Unfortunately they only had 2 elevators working so after check in, you had to wait in another line for the elevator. We had booked a room with 2 beds. When we got to our room, it was a king, for 3 people. We weren't going to wait in the line again to get into another room as there was still a line of 50 people waiting to check in. We were able to let the front desk know to just send up pillows and a blanket and we'd make do. By the time we returned, the pillows and blanket had been delivered. The front desk were champs that night. They did let us use the service elevators which eased some of the frustration of waiting. Management should have anticipated and planned better. The room was a typical hotel room. Nothing special. It wasn't dirty but wasn't spotless either. If pressed for a night's sleep and this is what was available I would stay again. We didn't use any of the other amenities."

"staff was very good and helpful, rooms were spacious and clean. you could use better pillows they were bad. but beds were comfortable. i would suggest adding a pull out couch to the room. and offering breakfast for the cost of the room would be nice...."

"When we first checked in we were assigned a room on the second floor. The elevator was broken so we had to take the stairs. We walked through a hallway of wasteland...floors were extremely dirty, ceiling was pealing, garbage stacked outside of rooms. We make it to our room and neither of our keys worked in the door. Went back down the stairs to the front desk and were told that the battery on the door lock was probably dead. A staff member went back with us and charged the door lock enough that we could get in but he said that if we left we needed to leave someone in the room or we would be locked out. About a half hour later he comes back and says that they switched us to a room across the hall. We get into the new room and the TV doesn't work. By this time we are tired and decide just to go to bed. The next day we go down and ask if we can get batteries for the remote because the TV is not working. The staff member was very nice and apologetic, but could not find any batteries so gave us the remote to the office TV to use. It really is a shame, because I think at one time this was a beautiful hotel. It has the biggest atrium I have ever seen in a hotel but it was completely shut down. The pool was never open the entirety of our stay and they never served a breakfast of any kind, not so much as having coffee out. They were extremely short-staffed. The whole time we were there (2 days), I saw a total of four different staff members. The staff was very helpful and kind."

"The check in experience was absolutely horrible. We waited for 2.5 hours AFTER our check in time to finally be given a room. The lobby was full of other guests also waiting. "

"We arrived at the hotel after a very long drive only to find that the hotel canceled us out of our booking with no prior notice!!! We were completely stranded in Columbus ohio with no where to stay & no explanation from country inn & suites!!! Staff was rude & ignorant! Did not offer any kind of assistance whatsoever!"
