"Very close (walking distance if not raining) to the old city - allow a good day to cover it all, and this is one of the least commercialised water-towns accessible from Suzhou or Shanghai, but not much else to do there unless you're at a conference etc. that the hotel caters for. Good, comfortable, clean working room with full amenities, nice view of the lake, very good local arts shop in the lobby. "This was an OK hotel but it’s the little things that matter. English was non existent with the staff, the heating/cooling in the room wouldn’t adjust and it was on 25 degrees the whole time when it was 35 outside. At times it felt hotter inside the hotel than outside, even in the foyer. As for the breakfast offering, well that was just plain bad. Won’t stay here again"
