"Beautiful, large room wtih tasteful, thoughtfully-selected furniture and amenities. Location was excellent for visiting the historic landmarks. Media system in room was problematic and did not work over the 5-night visit. Efforts to fix it were unsuccessful."

"This was a gorgeous hotel, and we thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The location was great and within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. The room was large and exceptionally well maintained, and the hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly. The only downsides were outlets that didn’t always work and you could hear everyone walking/moving above you. "The Kimpton Hotel Monaco is an excellent choice while visiting Philladelphia. The hotel was right next to the Independence mall with lots of great historic places to visit. My room had a view of Independence Hall and I loved it. Red Owl Tavern serves a great breakfast and you can enter right from the hotel. Lots of good walking tours in the area. Highly recommend."

The spiral staircase is WAY Too easy the bang you head shoulder etc into and should have plastic order covering the metal edges and screws/bolt etc We had a bloody head injuring as a result.
