"A marvellous chateau style hotel. Loved walking into the place with its great staircase. A bit of a distance from the the coast although a shuttle bus is provided. Good food and helpful staff….could change the menu a bit more often. Bedrooms were clean, spacious and well maintained."

"Lovely all round hotel in a great location for restaurants, supermarket and buses. Hill is steep, so less mobile might struggle. Good car parking right outside, and EV charging by harbour. Pool clean though chilly and even though temperatures were high 20s and full hotel not used, plenty of sunbeds with pool towels. Only negative no hair conditioner or body lotion, no ice bucket and no fridge. Lovely fresh cooked breakfast."

"The room was clean, the staff were very friendly. It was hot outside so the air conditioning was very welcome. The breakfast was excellent. The only thing to be aware of is that if you have a car the Pomme D'Or does not have its own car park. You have to use the car park of a sister hotel which is a 16 minute walk away."

"We enjoyed our week long stay this July at The Royal Yacht. We booked a Gold double. The room was good although we had trouble getting the temperature right, it tended to be cold and every time you left the room the temperature reverted to standard which we found chilly. The breakfast was very good, the food nice and hot tailor made eggs and a brilliant cup of tea, however, the addition of bread and rolls would make it even better.
