"I appreciated the free coffee and water however, the hotel rooms were terrible. When I first checked in the TV didn’t work and there was no remote control, the bathroom was disgusting, and the carpet was filthy. The gentlemen at the front desk (he was light skinned with dreads) was very helpful he “upgraded” the room. The upgrade turned out to be just as bad as the first room although the bathroom was clean although the toilet paper looked like it had gotten wet and the staff still put it out for use. The kitchen was way outdated the top of the refrigerator had not been cleaned and the was rusted with build up around it and the carpet was filthy! The remote control for the TV was disgusting lucky we are always prepared and bought Lysol which really didn’t help with the piled up grime on the remote. The dispensers in the bathroom and the sink were empty. There was a hole in the wall around the baseboard by the balcony that looked like maybe rats had chewed away at the trim. The ocean view was great though. We prepaid for the room so we didn’t have the option to find another hotel. We just sucked it up for the few days we were there by sending as little time in the room as we could."

"The room was dirty. I found weed on the floor and a dirty towel in a drawer. The staff was poorly trained and overflow parking was a block away. Not good at all!!!"

"The Hotel was very busy due to many events going on in Virginia Beach. At first I was mistakenly sent to a room that was already occupied. This was quickly, politely and professionally rectified and I was given a different room which turned out to be more convenient for me. Directly across from elevators and on a level with parking where I could easily walk to my car. Having a mini-fridge and microwave is always a plus. The best feature for me, though was having that sweet little balcony facing the ocean. What a tremendous stress reliever! I hope to return to Sandcastle Resort and will recommend it to others. One little request, though: Could you please provide tea bags in the rooms and at the Continental Breakfast for those of us who do not drink coffee? Thank you!"

"Great stay at Coastal Hotel & Suites in Virginia Beach. Suite fine for 4 Adults (2 king beds separated by bath & hallway). Fantastic sunset from balcony over beach, more seating for balcony would be good. Bathroom a bit worn and could have used more soap or some shower gel. Hot tub, pool and breakfast were fine and location was right in the center of things, so ideal for walking around. Overall great and I'd stay there again."
