I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding a recent stay at your hotel. The experience was especially concerning given that it involved accommodations for my handicapped parents.
We had specifically reserved a handicap-accessible room with a shower to meet their needs. Upon arrival, we were informed that the room was unavailable due to a water leak. While I understand that maintenance issues can arise, there was no adequate alternative provided that met accessibility requirements.
Additionally, the room we were assigned was not clean, which further added to the frustration of the situation.
The most serious issue occurred when the elevator was not working. This left my handicapped parents with no choice but to walk downstairs, creating a significant safety concern and unnecessary hardship.
When I approached the front desk for assistance, I was met with an unprofessional and dismissive response. I asked what my parents were supposed to do given their condition, and Erica at the front desk replied, “What do you want me to do about it?” This lack of empathy and customer service was extremely disappointing.
