Afton’s Elkhorn Arch is 18 feet high and made of 3000 elk (Wapiti) antlers. The arch was finished in 1958, taking two years to complete at a cost of $2,500.00 plus many hours of volunteer time. The antlers, shed by elk every spring were gathered at a nearby elk reserve.

"One of the best hotel stays I’ve had! Friendly staff, spotless rooms (the hotel looks like it’s pretty new), heated indoor pool, exercise room, comfy beds and I was able to work remotely in my room - all for an amazing price! The view of the mountains from my room was gorgeous and the breakfast was decent (yogurt, fruit, scrambled eggs, cereal, bagels, waffle maker, etc) and free coffee was available 24/7. Only 25 minute drive from Astoria Hot Springs, 5 minute drive from Melvin Brewing & 45 minutes from Jackson. Would absolutely stay here again!"
