"Overall stay was quite nice. However the water temperature for the sink and especially the shower was terrible. One second it was warm, not hot and the it would be extremely cold."

"The AC unit sounded like a hammer. There was hair in the bathroom. The room was not ready at 4pm and they didn't call me when it was ready ( tho they said they would) The USB plugs and the 110.outlets by the bed did not work. The place looked great online but was underwhelming."

"Clean and functional room with comfy bed & pillows, helpful staff, welcome gift of bakery cookies, the breakfast was from Olsens bakery across the street and was generous and absolutely phenomenal. The also let us have the convenience of 1st floor room. Not fancy but clean and an excellent value. We would come back in a heartbeat!"

"The property is wonderful. Great for teen kids and adults alike. The lounge area is well designed and the atmosphere is spot on. I appreciated the open feel and the variety of entertainment provided. The room was spacious and clean. Strange to have the AC in the restroom and not the main rooms, but otherwise a lovely stay."

"The room is what you expect for the price, no frills but it works. We had a back room so it was quiet. We had a room that was connected so when the neighbors opened their door it would sound like someone opened our door, which scared me in the night."

"The room feels updated and clean. The large light needs a good clean. The refrigerator was beeping and had to unplug I liked the reasonable cost of the wine available in the room with wine glasses and opener. All in all we enjoyed our experience. Next time I would choose a room on the top floor or a cottage. They look extra charming. "

"We loved our stay at the Winston, as did our dog Mocha. Even though there was is no staff permanently at the hotel, whenever we did cross paths with them, they were very helpful. One of them was so kind as to put their employee microwave out for us so that we could warm up our dogs food. the room was larger than we expected and was absolutely beautiful. Parking was easy and check in was as well once we figured it out. Will stay again!"

"No contact check in. They did not send text for check in until day after my check in date. At 9PM is was DIFFICULT to do check in over phone. Twice, all I got was a voice mail. Don't stay here."

"The staff was very nice and helpful in regards to parking near your room. We enjoyed the complimentary Danish pastries and coffee in the morning. The pool towels could’ve definitely been bigger and thicker but luckily the pool was heated."

"The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Parking next to our room as well as in front of the hotel. Just outside of downtown Solvang so not a lot of noise or foot traffic. Walked to shops, eating places and enjoyed it all. Definitely would recommend"
