"I'm house-hunting in Hudson, so my wife and I have stayed in a few other hotels and B&Bs there. However, one night in Pocketbook and I'll definitely continue booking there. I don't understand the complaints about the noise or rude staff, becauee we experienced the exact opposite. The staff were warm & welcoming, and very friendly. Overnight, it was peaceful and quiet. "Horrible"

"Front Desk staff was very welcoming and even provided a bottle of complimentary wine for my birthday. But then construction started at the pool on the weekend when it could have cleary waited until the weekday. People spend money to enjoy a relaxing day by the pool and not listen to drilling. When asked to pause the hammering we were told it's the only time they have 2 people scheduled at the time. Seriously, on a Sunday? This is what management told me, plus this is a major liability."
