"The Ravi breakfast lounge was magnificent with wonderful service.
The Sheraton Club lounge on the 26th floor of the South Tower was a treat and an essential retreat each day from our trips out into Cairo. The food was excellent, the service discrete and attentive and the views over Cairo to the pyramids to the east and south were memorable.
Thank you everyone at the Sheraton"
"The location is great, the bed is exceptionally comfortable and the sheets were amazing. However, even though we were in a non smoking room/floor, our room smelt smoky. We suspected there were people smoking on the floor and it also was coming in through the vent. The hotel seems to prioritize the comfort of smokers, you can tell that in the lobby where part of it is smoking …. So that means it’s all smoking. We went to other floors to check them out to see and we felt that no floors were truly non smoking so we didn’t ask to be moved. I cannot believe in this day and age any chain would allow indoor smoking.
Everything is extremely expensive, example, a cup of tea is $6.00 and a glass of sparking wine is about $20.00. Definitely not worth it and no ambiance in the lobby."
"Unorganized and Dirty. From the reception, managment, and shuttle service it was chaos. Took us over an hour to fully check in - from shuttle pick up to actually using the key card to unlock the hotel room - which is only a 5 min drive from the airport. The rooms were filthy and smelled of stale smoke. The towels had stains on them. We wanted to eat in the hotel restaurant, however due to the cleanliness, we were concerned we would get food poison. Even from a safety perspective, the staff made me feel extremely uncomfortable as a woman, even though I was with several male family members. I would NEVER recommend staying at this property. "
"Great experience. One thing that was problematic was that cold drinks were not included in the total price. Especially water, water should not have been an extra cost during meals.
Fantastic staff!"
"Clean room
Great staff
Checking in and out was simple - and efficient.
Breakfast was nice. Best seats were those overlooking the River Nile.
On some days- you could watch and listen to someone playing the piano in the lobby. Absolutely fantastic !
I am still trying to figure out why they give luggage tags at checkout even when you do not let the staff take it off you. If it had the number of bags written on the tag- then fine. Guess they have their reasons for doing so.
All in all - a lovely relaxed stay . "
"Hotel was under construction with only two floors that were finished. Staff were unhelpful. When we checked in we had to wait over 1hr to get a room. We arrived after midnight and the room they gave us was not the right ones. They corrected this for the following night. Would not recommend this."
"We have loved Kempinski hotel in our previous stays elsewhere in the world. This hotel feels relatively a little old and did not give that luxury feel. The afternoon tea was expansive, took a long time to prepare and somewhat stall food. The staff were very nice. Other services were good. "
"Wonderful staff, very attentive and welcoming, whether it’s at the reception, the restaurant or the housekeeping. I had an extraordinary stay and can’t wait to go back "
