"Wonderful staff! I asked where I could buy a needle & thread to repair my backpack & they had one of their staff machine-stitch it for free. Done in 30 minutes. Looked new. Just an example of how nice they all are. The hotel is conveniently located. A short walk to Pub Street. A block from the Siem Reap River. Has all the amenities. Two pools, bar, restaurants, spa, etc. Nice breakfast. They upgraded my room for free. Very spacious with cool air conditioning. I think it’s one of the finest hotels."

"I stayed here for 7 nights while visiting Phnom Penh. During the week I went to Siem Reap for two nights but kept my room at The Plantation as the free nights offer I'd booked made this viable. The hotel consists of a number of 1960s/70s New Khmer-style buildings built around a beautifully restored 1930s French colonial villa. My room was on the second floor with a balcony. The room was very spacious, bright and spotlessly clean and had great air conditioning and a ceiling fan. The location is excellent and there are a number of great bars, cafes and a laundry close by. There is an ATM across the road from the main entrance. Everything you need to see is within walking distance or no more than a 10 minute tuk tuk ride away. The breakfast buffet was included in the rate and offered a good choice of Western and Asian options. Served in the poolside restaurant by friendly and efficient staff, it was a great way to start the day. Staff throughout the hotel were king and courteous. The hotel is also home to a French-Khmer fine dining restaurant, La Pergola, which was superb and I'd highly recommend."
