Yesterday I came across a memorial on my walk and thought I'd pay my respects. This Kamloops Remembrance Day memorial was constructed in 1925. The information below is what I learned about this particular memorial. "A Ladies' Auxiliary to the Great War Veterans Association was started in 1919 to aid the club and to choose a memorial to war veterans. The auxiliary held bazaars and other fund-raising affairs to raise money for this purpose. It was decided by them to have a clock as part of the memorial. Location of the Memorial was a matter of much discussion for several years. Checked this place out today and wow talk about impressive! I was looking for a place to swim today and this place stood out. To my surprize was just how gigantic it was!!! This place not only has an Olympic sized swimming pool but it also has a waterslide, several diving boards, a super hot steam room, 2 gyms, indoor and outdoor track, huge gymnastics room, 3 basket ball courts and more. If your ever in Kamloops I strongly recommend you check this out. They have day passes, monthly passes, and yearly plans. Now if it wasn't so hard to get to lol! I am living downtown and had to climb up a huge hill/mountain to get here as its way way way up top. I was so sweaty and exhausted from trying to walk there that the pool never felt so good. Ahhhhh!

Today I also visited Paul Lake Provincial Park. Really beautiful but super busy! Washrooms are available close to the beach, plenty of parking available, boat launch zone, and free to use the park.

Tonight I ate at a different restaurant called White Spot. I must say it was rather tasty but I still preferred City View Restaurant. Chicken seems to really taste different in British Columbia. Seems so much more fresh. Anyhow this was the Blacked Chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy.
