The room was surprisingly spacious and very clean. Staff are super friendly. The only down side is that there is a gas station right next to the property and all the noise filtered right into our room. Blaring music, fights, people yelling, we heard it all! Other than that, very nice hotel and good value for the price.

Under renovation (which we were informed about the day of our check in). Upon check in, we were told we were lucky because we would be in one of the newly renovated rooms. Unfortunately, they are poorly done in every way. Nothing was functional, everything is cheap and done halfway (missing outlet covers, power strips hanging at the back of the bed, visible caulking), entire hotel smelled bad. Additionally, the desk was unattended most evenings with easy access to the building, the food permit expired in December, the WiFi never worked. For the renovation part, the work started earlier and ended later than we were told. The only good thing is that it is right on the free streetcar, which we used constantly. The noise of the streetcar didn’t bother us, but it may bother others.

Staff was very friendly and great location. I was fully aware of construction going on but work was started at 8am instead of 9/10am that we were told. Waking up to drills and singing wasn’t the best on a Saturday morning. Would stay again once hotel construction is complete

staff was great. Not enough towels in the room for 2 people, faucet ran into mirror and wouldn't turn all the way on, toilet ran for 5 minutes before it turned off, sheets were not put on the bed correctly and came off in the night on one bed. I appreciated getting an extra blanket as my roommate liked it colder than I do. We understand about construction going on. Appreciated then waiting until later in the morning for pounding and screwing.

I love staying at this hotel. I stay there every year. The Location is phenomenal. The rooms are good. The staff has always been excellent. Unfortunately the hotel is currently being renovated and a few days this week, there was no water for several hours during the day, which was tolerable. But the noise was particularly unbearable a couple of days. I think the hotel would do better by reducing the rates during this renovation, although their rates are highly competitive for this area. They might also be sure to put people in rooms as far away from the renovation work as possible.

The room was severely neglected. The staff was nice but ownership and management failed this hotel. We booked a room with a couch and all we received was a room with a heavily stained chair. The room had a water leak from the ceiling and started to create a water bubble behind the paint and leaked all over the carpet. The toilet seat was falling off the toilet and the toilet constantly ran. There was hair all over the pillows and the floors were dirty. Our keys also stopped working randomly before checkout. The hotel was also going under heavy renovations which is fine, but we weren’t notified of this change until the day of check in. Renovations started well before we booked but there was no notice anywhere. We were informed parking would be restricted and that water would be off at the hotel for 7.5 hours every day. Being notified last minute of this, it made finding a new hotel last minute very challenging so we had to stay.

Hotel is under renovations no hot water in the rooms. Water was cut off everyday from 10am-5pm if I would’ve known that this hotel was under a major renovation I would not have booked it.

At no point on the website either Expedia nor the actual hotel site did it mention they were renovating! The floors and elevator were bickered in cardboard. And the room I booked was absolutely filthy and the light didn’t work. And it smelled horrible. I demand my money back!

They basically charge you twice for the room hopefully the bank account gets straight for one!! Then no room service because they didn’t have staff. They are right it appears they are doing some upgrades!! But I wasn’t in one of the rooms that had been upgraded!! Parking is bad also they blame that on construction!! Our first night a shooting on the block in front of this location! I suggest you read all reviews and this is a location you want to believe them!!

Room was nice but obviously ready for the coming face lift of the property. I find care generally reliable here. A day in or so, Rat-a-tat-a-tat-a. My room was located just above the patio which they are removing. If they had sufficient warning from the company perhaps I might have been staying elsewhere.

The back lot and stairs were in disrepair and were closed with mere hours of notice. However we were able to park in front without problem. I am concerned this place, which we’ve stayed at almost every year, is going downhill with the Wyndham takeover. They no longer offer a complimentary glass of wine or beer at arrival, the new breakfast was pitiful and quite frankly we skipped it.
