This place was awesome but fell short on the breakfast-there are no hot items like waffles, eggs or such-just very continental. BUT it in no way lowers our great stay/esprcially the front desk staff.

We stayed here for a Chief's game. The staff was friendly. It looks like they are working on improvements. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was minimal compared to other places you can stay, but the cost of the rooms was very reasonable. The parking lot on the premises is small so you will have to park in a different lot around the corner. The hotel had security there, maybe because it was a game day (Monday Night Football). It didn't take long to get to the stadium.

Overall 4-night stay was very good. The negative was they were over sold the first night and did not have the room we booked. Got stuck in a handicap room with bathroom that flooded the floor when shops were used. Floor remained wet and could not use hairdryer while standing in water. After asking to be switched to the room we booked, we almost received the room we ordered. It was minus the sofabed we paid for. The last 3 nights were very nice. All staff were very friendly and accommodating. Dean was very helpful as was all the other staff at the front desk.

Here’s a polished version of your review that keeps your main points: The recently renovated rooms were nice, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel itself is older and had a noticeable smell throughout. The location was excellent—we were able to easily hop on and off the streetcar, which made getting around very convenient. The biggest disappointment was the continental breakfast. It was much more limited than expected, with only bread, cereal, and muffins available. There were no pancakes or waffles, which was very disappointing. Overall, the location and updated rooms were positives, but the breakfast and overall condition of the hotel left room for improvement.

The property is very hard to find and harder to get to. It is not located in the best area of town and somewhere it should tell you about how bad the location is. It was a great disappointment because I have stayed at many other sparks and Hilton properties. This was the worst. As the manager said “this is not the typical Sparks.” The staff was very helpful when there were no bath towels in our unit. The manager helped us with our luggage because my friend could barely walk. The staff should be rewarded for what they have to go through when people arrive and see what they have booked. I don’t know if I ever will stay at a Sparks again. We are at a Best Western tonight and it is excellent. I will be looking at other brands when we plan our trips in the future.

When we arrived our door would not lock easily. You had to really pull it and we thought that would be sufficient. Used the dead bolt while in the room. Went down to inform the desk and was told he would tell maintenance. He also offered to move our room we opted out of that since we had finished a very long trip do to traffic back up figured it would be fixed by the next day anyway (it was not) after multiple reports it was taken care of on Saturday. Came back to the room Friday night and it was open. We don’t keep valuables in our room so nothing was missing but the floor was not secure. Now on to the breakfast. Every day when we came down (not late) the coffee was always being brewed most places have a back up pot ready for busy mornings. Second morning there was no milk, one hard boiled egg etc. it was a mess. I took coffee up to the room for my husband unfortunately the cup crushed and spilled all over him and the bed. When we told the staff they were very sympathetic and asked if he need medical attention. I explained that the bed needed changed and that we would take care of burn cream on our own. When we returned from cvs my husband had to ask again for them to change the bedding. All of the staff was polite I just wish I could say they were on top of things. I am also looking at why I was charged 38.48 yesterday? Thank you for listening

Clean room every day. Staffs are efficient. A small problem on the door but can close. Next to the street car. Can go anywhere quick. I walked to the Nelsons-Artkins museum. It took around 15 mins.

This facility is beyond excellent. The entire staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was surprisingly large. Everything was spotless and shiny. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The breakfast area was bright and cheerful. The 24 hour coffee bar was a great addition. I can’t praise this hotel enough. They went above and beyond!

It was the only reasonably priced room I found in KC for the weekend. Property was very nice and the staff were so nice and friendly. The streetcar on that street is very convenient to get to several things. The breakfast was a little lackluster and no ice bucket and cups in the room but they seem to have just updated so maybe that hasn’t been taken care of yet. I would gladly return for another visit.

The back patio was nice, had a seating area. The building was kind of updated (fresh paint) but overall needed some improvements. There was an odor in the hallway. No seating in the room other than the bed. It was difficult to find parking at night. The staff was great, no complaints there.
