"Location of the hotel is amazing, the bars and selection of drinks are great, the dinner and breakfast was great and the aesthetics of the hotel are so nice. Also a band played on the evening we stayed, which was very good and popular. Room was a bit warm and the fan was old so not too useful, but the stay was during a heatwave."

"Beautiful setting near a canal, room was lovely a huge bed! Slept really well, staff so friendly and welcoming. Food was lovely in the restaurant staff very helpful, definitely be going back there and recommend to my friends."

"No food available on site,no cameras switched on for car park safety,crack in bathroom sink with units tired . All furniture tired and old. Tv we’re old and small.coat hangers missing and damaged. Very noisy residents made it hard to sleep "

"Breakfast was excellent, staff helpful and friendly. The superior double room was much nicer than the standard double and worth paying the small extra amount for. We had our 2 dogs and hotel is very dog friendly although the £25 per dog per night was a bit steep. Hotel is well located right in the middle of Penkridge, Saturday market is brilliant. We would return."

"Welcoming owners Helen and Andy provide a warm, comfortable and luxurious B&B in the heart of lovely Eccleshall. Helen's artsy skill are shared in abundance, with every little detail attended to. Our room overlooked the beautiful garden at the back of the property, adjacent to private car parking, and a gentle stroll down to the town. We plan to stay again, truly a delightful experience."

"Hottest day in May on record and the heating was on in my room. After speaking with staff three times and an hour and a half later, I was moved to another room. In spite of the wonderful advert featuring a restaurant I was told no kitchen tonight. Second room was very noisy overlooking the car park which doubles as a camping ground for motor homes, with ten present. No mattress cover and a very dirty mattress. Black mould on the bathroom ceiling which had been painted over but still showed...

"We've stayed here several times now and always enjoyed our stays. Rooms are clean and comfortable, the bar and restaurants offer a good range of food and drink and the wife particularly enjoys taking a dip in the indoor pool. Staff are friendly and efficient. Already looking forward to our next stay"
