"For our first trip to Crete we decided to make Renieris hotel our home base as it was perfectly situated just outside of busy Chania and near a good beach and the major routes to the western part of the island. It was the best decision, as this little

-run hotel on a hill overlooking the beach is run with love, and they treat guests like royalty. The daily breakfast was huge and delicious, and the pool is wonderful. We highly recommend this affordable little bit of luxury on Crete. "

are excellent hosts. The building is laid out as a set of self contained apartments with a shared lobby, with their home being off the lobby if you need to contact them. The apartment was kept clean throughout our stay with fresh towels, etc. every 2 days. The selection of cooking equipment was good, so self-catering was a practical option, and Melina provided some olive oil, marmalade and fruit as a gift upon arrival. You will need your own condiments, kitchen roll, etc....
