"Incredible views from this very special property in the middle of nowhere. I wish we could have stayed longer. The cabins have been tastefully designed with natural local materials to give a rustic feel, but with all the comfort of hot showers, crisp white sheets and a comfy mattress. This was the best night’s sleep I had in my whole trip. The manager and his daughter give a very warm welcome and the evening spent sipping a cold beer from the main farmhouse balcony overlooking the hills and...

"We stayed one night and it was amazing! The property had lots to do (perfect for a quiet day after visiting Sessriem) including a hike up the large boulder mountain and a hike around it through the grasslands. There is a well kept pool area to enjoy as well. The staff was exceptional and made us feel very welcome. The highlight was the dinner outside. Dinner is served in a sandy outdoor dining patio with a central open air bbq where food is simmering in cast iron pots. The sun goes down and you...

"We had a nice night at Khan River Lodge. The bed and cottage were comfy and the staff was very kind. It is a two hour ride from Windhoek to the town and a forty five minute ride down a terrible dirt road to get to the hotel. Also we had no WiFi until a guest of the hotel reset the router, and then again it was only by the office that we were able to receive it."
