Apparently the proprietor offered her an alternative room which was equally grubby, so she did not stay and found another Hotel."

The location is very convenient with a range of decent restaurants in walking distance. The restaurants on site are very handy for when we just want to relax by the pool too. The standout for this hotel is the staff, especially Ryan on reception. He always makes us feel so welcome, and he is always willing to go above and beyond to ensure we have a comfortable stay. "

"This hotel is not quite what is was and has gone from exceptional to ‘has room for improvement’. Examples. A swim up bar should not be cans and slushies only. The bar should be manned by trained and friendly staff. Breakfast doesn’t need to be the overpriced buffet it currently is. Ala carte will be better for everyone. I could keep going - I will be back - Townsville doesn’t have a great deal of competition."
