"I liked the location, breakfasts, and helpful staff. There was an A/C in the room, but no heat. So it was chilly in the morning and at night. Also, there was no major window in the room, but two small ones in the bathroom and near the door. So technically, there was no natural light in the room."

"Brilliant location for walking to centre of Valletta or to ferries . It is also on a city circular town bus if tired at end of a day sightseeing. Very friendly staff who went out of their way eg to heat up some water for an evening Lemsip! Very good breakfast. Would definitely stay there again."

Great bit of advice from another review which we took advantage of, make use of their sister Hotel as it is central located and whilst this hotel has a Pool their sister Hotel has an amazing view from the pool overlooking the three cities. "Fabulous stay at the charming and charismatic Casa Birmula which is so full of period character. The room and bathroom were clean with good amenities overlooking the alley - lovely to sit on the balcony and listen to the bells or the birds. The location is great too explore the quaint streets of Birgu or close to the Valletta Ferry to wander the bustling streets of Valletta. Maureen and Arz are very welcoming and there is lots of choice at breakfast, please try the omelette. We loved our stay...

"The communication was really good - we got all the check in info with plenty of time, and messages during our stay asking if we wanted new towels or a room clean etc. The location was also very good. The room smelt a LOT like damp. There was an extractor fan and a dehumidifier but they didn't really do anything. The bathroom was also absolutely tiny - I'm a small woman and I struggled. Overall, an okay stay but incredibly basic and I wouldn't want to stay here for longer than a few nights "

"Superb location in the heart of Valetta, and importantly, this is in a quiet residential side street so you're not affected by the noise and animation of Republic Street's restaurants and cafes. "A true 5 star boutique hotel located in a safe area of old Matla"

"The property was well located for transport links. The room was clean and well kept. The only issue i had in the room was the shower head was placed a bit too low. The arrivals and departures was easy with the codes. There was an issue one night when my phone died and so i struggled to get in. Overall i had a very nice stay here. "
