"Hotel is in a great location with car parking which is rare! The room was a bit tired, but generally the hotel was very good and the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good but our dinner in the a la carte restaurant was slightly disappointing."

"Nice hotel but poor sound insulation in the rooms (may have been mine specifically as I was given a room with the elevator right outside my door.. so noisy!). Room had bad smells from the drainage and had scents in the bathroom so must be an ongoing issue. Overall, nice hotel and would stay again but bring earplugs and ask for a room away from the elevator!"

"Lovely Maltese choices included in breakfast If you can, get the hot tub room. What a unique experience. Lovely rooftop pool area also. Small comment would be that the breakfast service could have done with a little more attentiveness. Always felt that something was missing at the table. Either a coffee mug, or a teaspoon, or sugar sachets. Hotel on a quiet street. No noise at night"

"The reception we got from staff, start to finish was outstanding! So friendly. The hotel itself was superb and we couldn’t fault it, clean, tidy and in the perfect location for all attractions. The rooftop pool and bar is simply a bonus and as you can imagine the views were amazing. Great holiday and I would definitely recommend and stay at this hotel again."

"The hotel is really good and value for money overall. The staff were a highlight, the room was big and clean, with good facilities. If I was being picky the arrangement they have with the beach club for use of the pool is changeable (different rules every day we visited) and the hotel bar is a bit bland. "

"The food was good especially the buffet on Saturday night. The highlight of it was the pasta and the staff providing it. Also the roast table, it was good too. The construction work was a major negative. we had no idea before booking that a major new facility was going up within a few yds of the hotel. Again the bar staff were very good at the buffet."

"This small, intimate hotel is an absolute gem! The staff is kind and attentive. The interior is gorgeous. My room was spacious and very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was outstanding. The manager, Moul, stops by each table at breakfast to ask how you are doing and if you need any help with your plans for the day. He gave me great advice regarding transportation and how best to plan my days of sightseeing. Although it is on the busy Republic Street, once you are inside the doors, you are in a different world. I was not bothered by any street noise in my room. Overall, a wonderful experience. Be sure to read up on the history of the hotel before your stay. You'll be very impressed. If you're looking for old world charm and impeccable service, do not miss the opportunity to stay in this lovely hotel!"

"Since the hotel is located on the side street, there’re some steps to getting down and up to: from the hotel. It’s very quiet but 10 mins walk to Republic Square. Many restaurants and busy area nearby. The room we stayed has a tiny window which can’t see anything or use it properly. So the room is dark and no fresh air. Air conditioning is needed in this case. It’s quiet and cool. Good selection of breakfast. Very friendly staff. "
