"Amazing location right next to Sliema Ferry station with a breathtaking view of Valletta. The apartment was well-equipped, modern, clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars nearby. We got access to an outdoor pool at Manta Beach Club just across the street, which was also quite nice, even though we could not use it due to the weather. I would definitely recommend this place and would return any time."

"The hotel is centrally located to walk to all of the attractions in Valletta and transport to every where outside of the city. The rooms are spacious, the air conditioning kept us comfortable and the shower was fitted with a rain shower head and a handheld one as well. The staff was excellent. We were greeted every morning by a welcoming staff serving us at breakfast, which was excellent (fresh fruit, pastries, local yogurt, cereals and a choice of a substantial hot breakfast). We enjoyed the pool every night after a day of touring. I highly recommend Palais le Brun. The location, rooms, amenities, service and staff were all top notch."

"I would rate this hotel 4 out of 5 stars. The Grand Hotel Excelsior offers everything you would expect from a five-star resort: indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a well-equipped fitness center, multiple restaurants and bars, and excellent amenities. The hotel is also spotless, very well maintained, and the staff is genuinely attentive and welcoming. That said, the property feels frozen in the early 2010s and is due for a major renovation. The exterior showed significant peeling paint in several areas, some of the furniture was noticeably worn, and there were no power outlets near the beds, making it inconvenient to charge phones and other devices overnight. The lack of USB charging ports—other than on the television—was also disappointing for a hotel of this category. Despite these shortcomings, the atmosphere and service made for a pleasant stay. I especially enjoyed the souvenir shop and appreciated that the hotel has a renowned pastry chef, which was reflected in the quality of the desserts. With some modernization, this hotel could once again fully live up to its five-star rating."

"Super friendly staff and lovely, clean room. Location was great for exploring Valletta however wasn’t able to get a car close to the entrance so that’s something to think about with luggage and mobility issues. We booked short notice as we had an issue with an Airbnb, and we were warmly welcomed late in the evening. Included breakfast was a nice surprise. The view out of the window wasn’t good at all, and I didn’t find the bed the most comfortable, but everything else was great so I would stay here again."

"This property is excellent and is an amazing location. The housekeeping staff are lovely, helpful and polite. The property is well looked after. We queried about the hot tub and received a message immediately. There are no umbrellas for shade or sun loungers, but this was ok for us as we love the sun! The view is great both day and night and the room was extremely comfortable. The hairdryer in the bathroom was also great and suitable for all hair types. The fridge in the room is a good size and there is fresh water provided as well as tea, coffee and milk pods. Thank you for another great stay, we will be back!"
