"Great place on the Cornwall/Devon border, equidistant from the stuff you can do in the Southwest. The food they serve is great, as is the staff I interacted with. An EV charger in the same parking area is very helpful, as well. I was surprised that my single room didn't have a TV. "Stayed on the third floor, small room, plenty of space, the room was clean with no damage, shower worked great. There was a fan in there which is helpful in the summer, didn’t have any noise complaints to make. Only stayed for one night so can’t come in on much else, the room key can be used for the front door when reception is closed after 10 pm and be aware that the keys go in the door horizontal rather than vertical and they also turn anticlockwise which takes some getting used to. Overall, very happy with my stay and I would stay here again."

"Loved our stay. The self-catering accommodation was extremely clean and beds very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. The bar area we attended in the evenings was a little tired and could have done with a refurb. The entertainment was a bit basic but kids enjoyed it. The location was a bit remote but we enjoyed exploring the area and it was very quiet at night."

"A different take on a traditional hotel. Modern and nice interior features. 1st impressions were good. Greeted on arrival. Check in was smooth and easy. Advised on how to use the lift with key card and breakfast. Offered an option to dine in and a welcome drink. Room was generally clean. We found a long hair in the shower and the bathroom generally smelt of sewage but felt it was coming from the drains. As soon as you ran some water it subsided and with the the door shut you couldn’t smell it in the rest of the room. Welcome message on the TV was a nice touch and the atmosphere of the room was good. Bed was for us way too soft. This did affect our general sleep. Breakfast was efficient and was well done. Overall we felt it was good value and would stay at the Moxy again. The surrounding area of the hotel aren’t the best but this isn’t the hotels fault. Staff were also great."
