"Early flight so decided to stay here to reduce the travel stress. Glad we did. Easy walk to terminal 2. Hotel was clean and quiet. Had a few drinks in bar. Didn’t eat at restaurant. "

"Room was filthy, dirt on floor. Towels were dirty. No staff around to complain too. No coffee or tea in room either! Definitely not family friendly. I was staying alone and would not recommend "

"Get what you pay for. Cheap and cheerful and budget friendly. Continental breakfast was nice, option to upgrade to cooked breakfast for £5pp, but that's in the hotel over the road. Room was small but comfortable and had everything needed for an overnight stay."

"Hotel needs an update. Staff were nice enough and all the bits you need were there but the customer experience was lacking. Our room was lovely, if cold. The radiators only work part of the time. The characterful bathroom did not have a big enough radiator - no lingering in the bath with just a tidgy towel rail to heat you ( a tall ceiling and giant window.) There was very little phone signal (not their fault of course), but the wifi was atrocious, barely there and dropping out regularly -...

"Positives - beautiful hotel in great grounds. Had tea in the restaurant which was very good. Bed was huge. Negatives - couldn't get bath to work and my wife was kept awake during the night by noise in room next door. Use of the spa was £20 per person (which I was willing to pay) but was then told we couldn't use it until 5pm. We'd arrived at 3pm with plan to go in spa before our friends arrived later. "

"We paid for an upgrade but it was a fairly standard room with a view of the car park. Having said that, the staff were very pleasant, the room was clean, bed comfortable and an excellent power shower. Buffet style breakfast was delicious with additional items freshly prepared if requested. I would happily stay again."

"Handy for the canal museum.Some staff great and some less helpful. Asked if had a dronks list as only given eine list, told didn't have one and rhymed off a couple of drinks. The lady who served the couple next to us got alot more comprehensivel"

"Rooms very clean & fresh; the Cleaners should be highly recommended; however, some of the general staff both in reception & restaurant needed a bit of training especially in customer service. I should say though George from the restaurant was very helpful. Directions to the pool & facilities were a bit hard to manoeuvre. "
