"We had a great stay here. The staff is fantastic and so friendly. The only downside is that we were there during a heat wave and there was no AC in the room. The hotel did provide a fan and that helped, but it was still toasty. Overall, fantastic experience."

"We came in the summer and loved Chamonix. This hotel was in a very good location and had a nice sized room with views of the mountains (although also right on the parking lot and another hotel so not super private). It is a cozy, lovely place- I imagine really nice in the winter. The entire place is a little run down- old carpets in the halls, and old, outdated feel. I found this charming, but also recognize some people may not like the rustic cozy feel."

This might be ok for a normal hotel but when the hotel is in the middle of a mountain, only accessible by a 2.5 hour hike (or a tiny train that is on strike - it’s France after all) then it is simply unacceptable to let your guests arrive at the door tired, hungry & thirsty to see a sign that says ‘sorry we’re closed, we tried to contact you’. "The room was very clean with plenty of useful amenities. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. The location for exploring Chamonix and proximity to Aguille du Midi and other attractions can’t be beat. If you get the breakfast it’s a nice spread… AND if you park in site there is a convenient, safe lot under the hotel. We’ll be back! Highly recommended."
