"Probably the best decision we made during our 10-day Swiss trip to stay one night in the hotel on a whim. The lodge is modern, clean, and spacious. The breakfast buffet and the dinner we had in the hotel are excellent and not expensive. The room has the best view in the beautiful, tranquil car-free village of Stoos. It is such an idyllic experience. We will definitely come back for more hikes. "

We took the Gondola up to the hotel and then from there it was very easy to go to Grindelwald 'First' and was very accesible to some great hikes in the area, and then once the Gondola stopped at 6:00 p.m. it became very quiet and peaceful at the hotel.
