"The rooms are beautifully presented and the amenities were really nice. For a travel stop it was very convenient and the staff are friendly. The carpets in the rooms are suffering from wear and tear and could do with a better clean. The rooms needs a bit more of a clean in general. The shower also started dripping in both rooms (which were at other ends of the property) at around 3am which woke us up. "I didn’t realise upon booking that the hotel has no A/C throughout, my room was 27 degrees, woke up at 2 am due to it being red hot and went and sat near reception as it was around 10 deg lower than the room, there was a free standing fan in the room which looked like it had done a few rounds with Mike Tyson, then just to top it off the fridge didn’t work at all, and when we reported it nothing was done. "Beautiful cosy double room full of amenities, mini bar, fridge and Nespresso machine, and fresh milk! Lovely modern bathroom. Rooms hot in the heatwave we are experiencing but a fan was provided and I took my own. Hotel provided extra bottled cold water to help which was a nice touch. Loved the local honey given as a gift in the rooms. Had dinner and breakfast. Both very good. Lovely staff team too. Would highly recommend"

"Bed was comfortable and breakfast very nice. Negatives - no air con on a very hot day/night and shower problematic. Couldn’t avoid getting hair wet, shower head too high to adjust and no soap in dispenser. Otherwise all good."

"The property is very well looked after & staff are fabulous. Ellie in the morning at both breakfasts and our check in & out was great. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We ate both times at the pub, breakfast & dinner, I think the menu is too big which led to some inconsistent dishes being serviced. Breakfast first day had no toast but on the second day had toast. 2 hash browns second day but 1 first day. Little things like this don’t mean much but breakfast is the last...
