We were a bit perplexed when we informed the front desk that the smoke alarm in our room was beeping, instead of coming to replace the battery it likely needed, they told us to take off the wall. I wasn’t in fear of a fire, but surely disengaging safety devices isn’t the most sensible way to proceed through life. "
