"Clean , close to highway , breakfast included …"

"When we arrived they had to go “make sure” the room was cleaned. Still wasn’t real clean when we FINALLY got to go to it. The elevator wasn’t working and we were on the third floor. Probably would be smart to email people and let them know this. As I have bad knees and it was a task to walk up all those steps. Paint was peeling everywhere. Just all around a BAD experience. Will NEVER stay at this hotel again. Gives the whole company a bad name."

"This is my second time staying at Hotel Nichols in South Haven. All n all, if you're looking for a nice, reasonably priced place to stay and location is important so you can walk around the town and not have to drive, Hotel Nichols is the place to stay! South Haven as a whole is the perfect mini getaway from Chicago, and Hotel Nichols' location is absolutely perfect so you can walk around to shops, restaurants, the beach etc. It was a last minute mom and daughter trip. "We had a really great time! The Dome we stayed in was really cute and “evil eye” themed! Comfortable bed and we even had a hot tub. We built a cozy fire and enjoyed the deer that came out at night. Will be back with a bigger group of friends to enjoy the pool! Thanks for the lovely stay! "

"There is no lake view in a room that said it was lake view. It was clean. The king-size bed was beyond terrible. It was like 2 twins pushed together with a very lumpy mattress topper. No closet. Very tiny room. The hand sink was in the bedroom. The house was built in 1883, if it had been haunted it might have been worth the $250. It was neither haunted or worth the $250. "

"The place is a total dump!!! All of the doors have key pad locks that barely work, the "Double Queen Suite" was basically 2 dorm rooms with no place to sit except outside! No Wi-fi. The place was freezing with only an ancient heater and a wall space heater. The tub had standing water in it for 3 hours after taking a quick shower. The place is dirty and run down. We wouldn't have felt safe staying there if it hadn't been in the middle of no where. Old folks seemed to like staying there for some...

"Room was clean, staff were friendly, waterpark was great! It’s closed during the week, but they will open it for guests. The large slides don’t run during the week, but my boys had a blast having the waterpark to themselves for 2 days! Breakfast was good and the lobby has an excellent seating area! Great location off 94 and near some good restaurants. Our bathtub wasn’t clean but we just dealt with it since it was a short stay. Otherwise we had an excellent stay. "
