Close to Sherman's ice cream. When we got to our room there was a machine from the TV on the floor, a three pack of batteries and 5 remote controls. We were never able to get either TV in the room to do more than turn on. We were not able to access any channels. We reported this to the desk and she told us as we were leaving for dinner that she would go up and check but there was no difference when we returned. Instruction of how to work the TV would be helpful if indeed it does work. Good breakfast!

Overall the stay was fine, we were in town for the beach anyways so didn’t spend much time in the room. We booked the suite with the side room & pull out couch. when we walked in the bedroom presented as average clean. a few things were still a little iffy: both remotes for the tv’s were very sticky. one of the two TVs didn’t work at all. the floor was also sticky. glass top on the desk needed to be wiped down for sure. just small things like that which seemed to be forgotten. Not usually something I would be too concerned about but we brought a baby with us so we had to give things a wipe down ourselves. The check in/check out process was easy, staff was polite, the breakfast was good both mornings, and it was mostly quiet. I would stay here again just more aware on the cleanliness part next time.

Very noisy in morning. Could hear outside doors slam shut. Heard 10 minute smoke break and conversation word for word. Looks like it wouldn’t take much to have room and bath look great. Carpeting looks really dirty and bathroom needs cosmetic updates. Not worth my money.

The initial front staff that we encountered was extremely unpleasant. The room we were given is not what we booked. Our air conditioning unit didn’t work. The pool looked very dirty.

Bathroom needs ventilation. Tv was horrible to navigate. Staff was very polite and professional. For the amount of money South Haven charges for hotel rooms it should have been nicer.

Even though the bed was comfy half the lights in our room were burnt out, the walls and half wall were dirty, the shower was broke so water sprayed in different directions, weird white stains on the chair, cracks at the seam were the ceiling meets the wall and the patch they used when apparently someone had opened the door to hard was not even paintes the same color as the walls. Fir the price you paid for the room the room could have been better. I know this is an older hotel but the maintenence of the building is lacking. The girl who worked the front desk waa very polite and nice.

I’ve stayed at another country by Radisson and had a great experience, but this did not compare. The front desk workers were not very welcoming. When entering into the room I was already disappointed by walking through a dirty door. In the room itself was paint that had already been chipped on the wall, and the water faucet did not turn off completely. The microwave did not rotate correctly because the replacement plate they used was not compatible. Heard every foot step from the people upstairs. Went and told the front desk that they were very loud and asked to change rooms, they told us the people above us was already told on multiple occasions to quiet down and that the hotel is completely booked up so we could not switch rooms. And majority of the outside doors to enter was open for the public (the scanner for the key card was broken) so I did not feel the safest.

It was perfect if mold and mildew is your preference. Thank goodness my stay was short. Not sure if the owner is aware that breathing in mold and mildew can cause a range of health issues, primarily affecting the respiratory system. My symptoms were minimal but, I can’t say that for the rest of the people in my group. Hopefully the skin rashes will go awaysooner ratherthanlater. The staff was awesome though.

Not very well kept. First clue of inattention to detail is view of various laundry and cleaning products on floor in full view at reception desk. Poorly maintained in terms of attention to cleanliness and detail - made me feel like I was traveling internationally in a 2nd or 3rd world country. Breakfast should be noted as more of a "continental" style, with "biscuits and gravy" sparsely sprinkled with bits of sausage as the only source of any quality (or lack thereof) protein at the meal. Individual who checked us in made us wait while we knew he was just around the corner and had such a thick accent, we were unable to understand what he was saying. It was 11:30 PM, and we were so tired, we just said "thank you" and proceeded to the room.
