"A wonderful peaceful 3-day stop staying in the superior lodge room. The room itself comprised a spacious living area and a similarly large bedroom set a short walk from the castle itself. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and helpful. Breakfast was superb with a great selection of high quality options. Highly recommended for anyone looking to stay in the area."

"This was a nice escape from the traditional hotels. We wanted to stay outside the city to start our tour of the western part of Ireland. Please note that this is an old manor (built in 1700s per staff) that has been converted to rooms. There is no air conditioning and the rooms are rustic. We loved it and enjoyed the experience. We were provided fans as we were on the second floor and it was warmer than usual. The staff were very accommodating and welcoming. There is a horse on-site and you feel...

"Excellent room and excellent hotel..good restaurant. Breakfast was v good with lots of fruit and usual chill English all buffet. Highly recommend this hotel...only issue is leisure club is bit walk away. The place is clean throughout n even during our stay the cleaned the fountain."

"This was the most wonderful experience staying at Kilkea Castle. The property is steeped in history and was incredibly interesting to read about. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious, with some tasty variations on traditional Irish breads with soups. Breakfast was ordered from a menu rather than buffet style. We had a memorable experience and loved every minute!"
