"As with the HIE at East midlands airport 2 days ago, everything was great. The only down side was that the water in the shower wasn't too hot."

"I was nervous about this property having booked in a rush and not having read reviews. However upon arrival I found it easy to park and a lovely entrance with beautiful character features. The ladies in reception were friendly and welcoming and they upgraded me to a superior room which I was very pleased with. "Seems to be a standard for hotels we have stayed at…. The bathtub is so narrow at the bottom that we had to stand sideways to be under the shower. The soap/shampoo etc dispensers were at shoulder level which made the shower space very narrow."

"Absolutely everything. Evening meal, service and staff were excellent. Delicious breakfast and friendly staff. The room was amazing, not in the main building itself but you couldn’t expect more. Countryside views. Overall a great stay. Would highly recommend. "

"The room and communal areas were very clean, the room was beautiful. A few disappointments, we had no instant coffee in the room only coffee pods with no machine, our chosen breakfast wasn’t available and there was some miscommunication with the menu items, and the shower was very slow draining "

"Great staff. Lovely modern room. Nice food. BUT: the basement rooms are under the pub and loud music and talking went on past midnight. A green light constantly on also made it very difficult to get to sleep. And pillows like boulders."
