"Clean room"

"It is convenient to park your car at this inn. Highland Gate is not the inn but the the restaurant. The Highland Gate restaurant and Marton's Inn are in two separate buildings. The inn's outside apearance and inside conditions are quite mediocre: carpet in the hallway looks dirty at every entrance to the room; there is no rack or shelve for suitcases though the room size is decent; the bathroom has a peculiar smell (not stinky but unpleasant to me), and the double bed (made of two single beds)...

"The hotel and gardens are beautiful! There is a sense of opulence as you drive up to the hotel. Some of the rooms are under going refurbishment, we were upgraded as were our travelling companions. Lovely bedding with good quality pillows made for a very comfortable nights sleep. There is a swimming pool, spa and saunas a very short walk from the hotel within the property which was a very lovely way to end the evening."

"We upgraded to a super king room, but felt that it was not worth it, and feel if that was an upgraded room, then i dread to see what a normal room would have looked like also there was an outside pipe which ran very heavily down the roof due to the bad weather."

"A lovely little hotel slightly off the beaten track but within easy distance of Stirling and main routes to the highlands. Beautifully decorated. Excellent breakfast. The pub food is really good too should you need lunch or dinner. It was quite warm and humid when I visited with no a/c, although hotel provided a fan, which was helpful. It’s located at a busy intersection, so there is traffic, but given that it’s located in the country, there is still a sense of peace about it. Highly recommend."

"We hadden gelukkig een hele ruime familiekamer met 3 bedden. Maar daar was het Guesthouse ook op gekozen. Het interieur is sterk verouderd en de jaloezieën hangen los of deden het niet. Er kon slecht één klein raampje open. De service is belabberd. Geen enkele dag is de badkamer gereinigd of konden we beschikken over schone handdoeken. Afgezien van het inchecken was de receptie alle dagen onbemand. Het ontbijt is zeer summier. Kortom: eens maar nooit meer."
