"Very lovely romantic room with a slipper tub which we were not expecting! The staff are so helpful, my husband bumped his head and cut it and they gave us sticking plasters and antiseptic wipes! Husband said breakfast was wonderful. The best bit was the bed though - literally the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and the pillows were like clouds - so good I even asked the hotel to let me know where they buy them and they made the effort to do that and emailed me all the details. "Excellent and cooked to order breakfast with many options. Cocktail bar has some very interesting choices too. We stayed in the David Bowie shrine suite which is fabulous and fun for any fan but the bed is very “Low” so bear that in mind if you have an issue with knees or back. Decor - loved the blind and shower curtain in particular. This booking was a surprise from my husband and I couldn’t have been more delighted."

"It was perfect for a long weekend getaway. The location was great, and it was quiet and peaceful, even when the rest of the city was having a good time. My room was called Indulgence, and I was lucky to have a view, with large windows, of the sea and the small park outside. This proved to be extra useful as I wasn't feeling well one of the days and spent it fully in the room. "I arrived earlier that 3pm but the staff found a room that was ready so we could get settled sooner. Overall, we were happy with our stay, the breakfasts were really good, glad we paid for full breakfast as extra. location was also good. "

"The hotel staff were amazing. We were there for the marathon and they allowed us to leave our luggage and then let us return later for a shower. It was an unexpected treat which we were so grateful for as it allowed us to freshen up and not have to drive home sweaty. Thank you"

"Average stay, and at £400 for 2 nights it was disappointing! I was surprised at earplugs being provided, but hearing a club(?) behind the hotel empty their glass bins at 1, 2, 3 and 4am both nights it became obvious why! Room was tiny and mattress dreadfully lumpy, but bathroom was pleasant and clean. Receptionist at check in was nice but wasn’t asked if I would like to include breakfast or use the amenities. When I checked out I left a bag, and when I came back to collect them I was shown...
